Summary Data

Summary Data is a combination of data from one or more fields in a module:

• Every module in Vitalware has a Summary Data field, a one-line summary of the record that displays beneath the Tool bar.

  Which fields are combined to make up a module's Summary Data can be specified by each institution (and implemented by Axiell Vitalware developers).

• It is possible to display an image in the Summary Data. See below for details.

• Also, when an attachment is made between records, it is the targetAn attachment is made from one record to another. The record from which the attachment is initiated is the Primary record; the record that is attached is called the Target. record's Summary Data that displays in the primaryAn attachment is made from one record to another. How to display an image in the Summary Data

It is possible to display images in the Summary Data area based on values in the data. For example, it is possible to display a warning sign / image if a field contains a particular value. It is also possible to configure a sound to be played and a "hint" to be shown when the mouse cursor is placed over the image:

The facility supports multiple images and sounds if more than one match is found in the current record. The "hint" may be multi-lingual with the current Prompt language determining which message is shown. The image display facility is available when viewing records in Details View, with and without Thumbnails enabled.

The image display pictures with Thumbnails enabled are displayed in rows of two images.
